Saturday Junior Coaching (1st October)

This weekend we will not have any junior coaching. This is because of Staff Training.... Well not staff so much as junior coaches. Our candidate coaches will be put through their paces by Level IV coach Chris Vine. In the next few weeks they will all be looking for guinea pig juniors to try out their new coaching ideas on - so we hope you all get some free coaching sessions from them.

Then on Sunday the 4th of December we will be looking for juniors to be part of the coaches' final sessions. So watch this space for details of how to sign up to be part of the fun on that day.

Normal coaching sessions will resume next weekend

Latest results from last season - Club U19 Grand Prix

Last night we played the very delayed 2010-2011 season Club U19 competition. Our new champion - for last season - is a very deserved Tom Blair with Jack Murphy as runner-up.

The competition was a Grand Prix format with two first round leagues which were the best of one game against all comers. Then the top two from each league played semi-final that were the best of three games. Then the final was the best of five with Tom beating Jack 11-8 12-10 10-5.

In the semis Jack beat Jeremy while Tom beat Lawrence to get through to the final. The rankings from the leagues were Tom, Jack, Lawrence=Jeremy, Will C., David, and Alan.

There was some amazing squash and a great spirit of sportmanship from all the lads. It was great to see and suggests we have plenty of new talent for the Club's adult teams in this season's county leagues.
