Comberton’s youngest-ever team in the County Junior Leagues?

On January 7 at St Ivo Outdoor Centre Comberton fielded a team of three in the Division Three fixture with a combined age of 32! As we’ve never had enough players to enter the U11 Division, this could well be the youngest team ever to represent us in the Tucker Gardner County Junior Leagues.

Our three players, all making their debut for the Club, were Will Collett, Marcus Connolly, and Jeremy Harris. Although none of them actually won their match they all played well and never gave up, gaining great experience of competitive squash against opponents who were mostly four or five years older than they were.

With more promising Year Sevens in competition for team honours our future looks rosy for the next few years!
